The States of Guernsey is offering COVID-19 vaccination and seasonal Influenza booster doses to maintain the safety and health of Islanders. COVID-19 and Influenza are more serious in older people and those with a weakened immune system.
As immunity derived from vaccination declines over time, the Joint Committee for Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) have recommended that the following individuals are offered a booster this Autumn:
Adults aged 65 years and over
Residents in a care home for older adults
Persons aged 6 months to 64 years who are in a clinical risk group (as defined in tables 3 and 4 of Greenbook chapter 14a).
Those at highest risk will be invited first. You should have your vaccination at least 3 months after your last one. If you are eligible for a flu vaccination, you may also be able to have this at the same time.
